Voted One Of The Top 10 Places To Live In The Country
Such a unique area surrounded by water and bordered by some of the most gorgeous white sandy beaches of the Gulf of Mexico! Here are just a
few of the reasons Tampa Bay is a leading destination for tourists, business re-location, retirement and second-home owners:
Weather and Climate
January's average low temperature is 50 degrees Fahrenheit, while July's average high is 90. The average annual rainfall is 49 inches. Some rain falls
107 days of the year, but it's sunny most of the time; best of all, according to snowbirds and more permanent visitors from the north USA, Canada and
Overseas, it doesn't snow! About November 1st, the license plates start showing up making sure we know that Tourist Season Has Begun! Yet, when they leave, those of us who have chosen to make Tampa Bay our permanent residence never tire of the beauty that surrounds us.
* The Guinness Book of World Records lists Pinellas County as having the most consecutive days (768) of sunshine.
Access To 3 Major Cities
All within minutes of each other, Tampa is flanked by St. Petersburg and Clearwater to its west across the Bay. St. Petersburg is a destination in its own right with its sophisticated downtown waterfront living, museums of the caliber of Salvadore Dali, its annual International Grand Prix (bring your ear plugs but be prepared for excitement competing with Monte Carlo!!!), and a host of entertainment venues, as well as full marina access. Clearwater is actively growing and creating major beautification plans for its waterfront city as well as Clearwater Beach and its Beachwalk Project. Each fall, you will find acclaimed jazz musicians at its annual Jazz Festival free to the public. (This is always one of our personal favorites!) Between the three cities, access to entertainment, sports, dining - and, of course, shopping - is endless. That is, when you don't want to take advantage of nature's own beautiful combination of gorgeous weather, beautiful beaches, and being on the water!

Tampa Sports
It’s where Tampa Bay Buccaneers’ fans cheered their winning team on to Super Bowl glory in 2002 and their favorite hockey team, the Tampa Bay Lightning, on to the 2004 Stanley Cup victory. Tampa hosted the 2009 Super Bowl. Baseball is a way of life with the Tampa Bay Rays and spring training home to 9 teams, including the Yankees (their own Legends Field) and the Phillies. The Rays just made it to the World Series! The area also sports a variety of world class fishing tournaments. The annual Ford Ironman World Championship 70.3 is held in Clearwater Beach each November.
Tampa Bay Beaches
The quality of life for which the Tampa Bay area is renowned is perhaps best illustrated by its beaches. Pinellas County alone has two of the top-rated beaches in the nation, Fort DeSoto Beach and Caledesi Island. When it comes to homes providing access to those beaches, Money magazine ranks St. Petersburg/ Clearwater fourth of the 300 best places to live in the United States. The 23 mile stretch of white sandy beach stretches from Clearwater Beach in the north to St Pete Beach in the south, with small communities in between, each with their own character. We think you will find out why we continue to say, "Come For A Visit, Stay For A Lifetime"
